Peachleaf Willow is a striking tree that grows along waterways, either wet or dry, in the Panhandle and Trans-Pecos in west Texas. It can grow to heights of 40 feet, and is fairly uncommon. Peachleaf Willow is quickly recognized by its yellow twigs, drooping branchlets, and green peach-shaped leaves that are silvery white underneath and shimmer in a slight breeze.
